What to know
Each side starts with 20 pieces, and White moves first. Men move diagonally forward, while captures may go forward or backward. A king can travel along a diagonal across multiple empty squares.
When a capture is available, you must capture. If different sequences are possible, choose one that takes the greatest number of pieces. Complete the whole sequence before removing the captured pieces.
International draughts has a different board orientation and capture-selection rule from the Nigerian game available here. The larger board also makes it distinct from American and Brazilian checkers. Use the variant links to choose the rules you want.
